Based on quarterly sales figures from participating companies, the market in 2002 is expected to reach US$5.9 billion a 12% growth over 2001.

The strategic landscape of the market is changing rapidly. In 2001 Roche completed its acquisition of Chugai thus consolidating its position in the market and Amgen launched Aranesp, darbpoetin alfa, as a second-generation product.

Generics have already entered the markets of South East Asia.

Erythropoietin, State-of-the-Science & Strategic Opportunities is a strategic consulting report that assesses both the technology status and the competitive landscape of the r-HuEpo market. The report examines both the US and the European markets, profiles leading products and companies and offer revenue forecasts to the year 2007.
