EmblemHealth Activates Landacorp's maxMC Medical Management Solution

CHICO, Calif., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Landacorp, a SHPS company, today announced the successful implementation of Landacorp's maxMC medical management software solution at EmblemHealth. Initial implementation includes the modules for case management, utilization management, and a powerful rules-based processing tool kit.

EmblemHealth will increase operational efficiencies in managing member care through maxMC. Specifically, maxMC's automated workflows and real-time, clinical data interfaces, will support EmblemHealth's case management nurses to more efficiently engage with both their members and providers while reducing administrative costs.

Group Health Incorporated (GHI) has been a Landacorp client since 1997. In 2006, GHI and HIP Health Plan of New York affiliated and are now EmblemHealth companies serving approximately 3.4 million members. As part of an operational efficiency project, EmblemHealth expanded the use of Landacorp's care management solution thereby replacing other vendor applications.
