Pioneer of drug discovery data management software recognized for his contribution to the industry

 

Guildford, United Kingdom, September 2005 – IDBS is proud to announce that Neil Kipling, founder, CEO and Chairman of the company, has been formally recognized for his contribution to the art and science of drug discovery. The 2005 SBS Accomplishment Award for Innovation in Information Management for Scientific Software was awarded to Kipling at the 11th Annual SBS Conference and Exhibition, September 11-15, 2005 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Upon accepting the award, Kipling said, “I feel very honored to have been recognized for the contribution that IDBS has made to the drug discovery industry. It is extremely gratifying that such a prestigious institute as SBS has acknowledged this effort.”

In this spirit, I am delighted that this years award be given to Neil Kipling.”

In addition to the award, Kipling’s achievement will also be recognised in the Journal of Biomolecular Screening and with a $1000 honorarium. Kipling said, “It is my intention to donate the honorarium to The Sunflower Trust – a charitable organization dedicated to helping children with learning difficulties based in Guildford, where IDBS is headquartered.”
