Berlin (February 4, 2004) - Last year the Berlin-based nanobiotechnology application specialist JPK Instruments AG has appointed Dr. Andreas Eckert as the new Chairman of its Board of Supervisors. Dr. Eckert is Chief Executive of public-traded Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG, Berlin, which was founded in 1997. He is also the co-founder of numerous technology companies in Germany and abroad. Last year JPK Instruments also appointed Roger Bendisch to the Board of Supervisors. Bendisch is director of the IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft, Berlin, a leading venture capital investor for technology companies in Berlin. Frank Pelzer, director and co-founder of JPK Instruments commented on the new appointments: "Our company is continually strengthening its position as one of the leading providers of atomic force microscopy application for the so-called 'soft matter' sector and the whole area of life sciences.
