LifeCycle Pharma Successfully
Completes €15 Million Financing
Hørsholm, Denmark, May 17, 2005 –
LifeCycle Pharma A/S announced today that it has successfully completed a €15
million private placement. The Series C round was led by Alta Partners, a major
US-based life science investor active in both Europe and North America. DG Lux
Multimanager I Sicav Lacuna Apo BioTech Subfund, a fund advised by Adamant
Biomedical Investments AG (Switzerland), together with all existing investors H.
Lundbeck A/S, Novo A/S and Nordic Biotech participated in the round. Dr. Jean
Deleage, Co-Founder and Director of Alta Partners, will join LifeCycle Pharma’s
Board of Directors.
The proceeds of the financing will be used to advance LifeCycle’s main projects
from the clinical phase to registration. The main projects are reformulated
versions of fenofibrate and tacrolimus; in addition new programs in the areas of
lipid management and immunosuppression will be initiated.
