Oxford Immunotec Appoints
Stuart Rose as Global Marketing Director Oxford, UK; 18 January 2005 - Oxford Immunotec, the T cell diagnostics company, today announced that it has appointed Stuart Rose as Global Marketing Director. Mr. Rose brings 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the international pharmaceutical industry, from blue chip to start-up. Most recently, Mr. Rose was Principal of pharmaSMART Consulting which developed market entry strategies across Europe and the US for biotech and biopharma companies. Prior to this he was Senior Director, International Brand Marketing at Elan, a researched based biopharmaceutical company. Mr. Rose has served as Chair of the Healthcare Communications Association and as a judge for the Pharmaceutical Marketing Communiqué Awards. Commenting on the appointment, Dr Peter Wrighton-Smith, CEO of Oxford Immunotec, said, “We are very excited to have Stuart join the team. His breadth of experience working in both leading pharmaceutical and entrepreneurial companies will be extremely valuable to our expansion efforts. He shares our ambitious plans and the recruitment of such a senior-level marketer reflects our commitment to growth.” Earlier positions included sales at Roussel (now Sanofi-Aventis) plus domestic and international strategic brand management at Scotia, Novo Nordisk and Glaxo Wellcome (now GSK).
