Q Chip Appoints Jeremy Curnock
Cook as Non-Executive Director.

Kingdom, 20 June 2005. Q Chip, the drug delivery company offering controlled
release systems to the pharmaceutical industry, is pleased to announce the
appointment of Jeremy Curnock Cook as a Non-Executive Director. He will bring
extensive commercial, technical and governance experience to the Board of Q
Chip.
Jeremy Curnock Cook is currently Executive Chairman of Bioscience Managers Ltd,
which he founded in 2001. Prior to this he created and led the Rothschild
Bioscience Unit, the international and multidisciplinary team managing a number
of funds aimed at early and mid-stage focussed investments. Under Jeremy Curnock
Cook’s leadership the Unit was highly successful in generating significant value
and returns.
He currently holds directorships in a number of life-science companies,
including Chairman of Targeted Genetics Inc. (USA) and atugen AG (Germany), and
director of Inflazyme Pharmaceuticals (Canada) and Sirna Therapeutics (USA).
Mr Curnock Cook joins Q Chip as the company scales up its MicroPlant technology,
widening the capability to develop sophisticated drug delivery solutions for a
range of therapeutic applications.

More About Jeremy Curnock Cook
Mr. Cook founded the International Biochemicals Group in 1975, which was sold to
Royal Dutch Shell in 1985, serving as managing director until 1987. From 1987 to
2000, he was a director of Rothschild Asset Management Limited and was
responsible for the Rothschild Bioscience Unit. Mr Curnock Cook has served on
the Boards of more than 30 companies in the life science sector based in North
America, Europe, Japan and Australia. He holds an M.A. in Natural Sciences from
Trinity College, Dublin.
