Roche Diagnostics Launches Highly-sensitive Polymerase Chain Reaction System

Tokyo (JCNN) - Roche Diagnositcs has begun sales of it's real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system LightCycler ST300, a highly-sensitive gene analysis system.

The ST300 system is comprised of Roche's proprietary LightCycler Instrument 1.5, a control computer, a centrifuge, and analysis software, and generates reliable analytical results in a speedy manner.

The system is priced at 4,750,000 yen ($45,200). The company targets universities and private companies, aiming to achieve 300 million yen in sales in the first year.
