SCYNEXIS Europe appoints Geoffrey
Sheppard as Head of Radiochemistry
12 January 2004 -- SCYNEXIS
Europe Ltd., Ongar, Essex, announced today that Geoffrey Sheppard, PhD has
joined the company as Head of Radiochemistry.
Dr. Sheppard is a graduate of Oxford University (Honours Degree and Doctorate in
Chemistry). He held senior General Management and Marketing positions at The
Radiochemical Centre (which later became Amersham International plc), including
an overseas posting in Japan. He was Managing Director of Porton Cambridge Ltd
(a UK diagnostics company) and has worked for the Welsh Development Agency,
firstly as Representative in Japan and latterly as Executive Director
responsible for international marketing and inward investment into Wales. Most
recently he has been an advisor to several high technology companies on
international business and marketing strategy. He is also a Director of the
Asia-Pacific Technology Network.
The appointment of Dr. Sheppard to head its radiochemistry operations underlines
the commitment of SCYNEXIS to the radiochemistry area, the company notes. Custom
radiolabelling has become a major activity for SCYNEXIS which will be further
strengthened by this recruitment.
