Abcam expands into larger premises
Cambridge, UK (February 24, 2003) Abcam, the specialist supplier of antibodies and reagents that originated from the University of Cambridge, has just announced that they have expanded into larger premises.

As a result of the increasing demand for Abcam’s cutting edge products, the company has moved into a custom designed unit on the Cambridge Science Park that will double the size of their current operation from 2100sq ft to 5000sq ft.

Reflecting upon the expansion, Dr Milner, Founder and C.E.O of Abcam said,
‘We are delighted to be moving into larger premises on the Science Park. Abcam's focus on cutting edge reagents combined with efficient web technologies has enabled us to expand to 28 employees and a business with annualised turnover in excess of £4 million and an annual growth rate of more than 120% per annum. Given the strong growth in the biotech research sector, this move marks an important juncture in Abcam’s development and we are confident about maintaining strong growth in the years ahead’.
