| Agilent Technologies Introduces Flexible Software Solutions for Preparative HPLC PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 3, 2003 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced the availability of new software solutions for the Agilent 1100 Series high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) purification system. The new Agilent ChemStation software modules provide flexible functionality for preparative HPLC, enabling users to start with a basic solution and add modules for specific needs. The Agilent 1100 Series purification platform is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry for compound isolation and purification. It can be configured with a wide range of hardware modules including pumps, auto-injectors, fraction collectors and detectors to optimize recovery and purity for different sample quantities. The system's flexible approach to hardware has now been extended to software, with the following software modules available: o The Basic Purification Solution is easy to use and provides FDA 21 CFR Part 11 support for purification system compliance. o The Advanced Purification Solution integrates purification workflow and easily manages a large number of samples. o The Walk-Up Purification Solution is ideal for non-expert users and offers flexible system management for secure access. Each solution also includes the Agilent ChemStation Data Browser, which provides remote data browsing and quick setup of purity reports.
