The
European Biotechnology Crossroads, October 15-16 at Lille Grand Palais,
takes its place in the top three European biotechnology events
340 confirmed exhibitors, 160 companies
at the business convention, and an expected 2,500 conference attendees
will make the European Biotechnology Crossroads 2002 one of the most
important events in the European biotech calendar.
Paris, October 1st 2002 - The success of the European Biotechnology
Crossroads 2002 places it among the leading European biotechnology
events, the organizers announced today. With 340 exhibitors, 160
businesses signed up for the business convention, and a further 2,500
attendees expected, the European Biotechnology Crossroads believes it is
now one of the top three biggest events in the European biotechnology
calendar.
As one of the only events in its field to
combine an exhibition, conferences and a business convention, the
European Biotechnology Crossroads has aroused high levels of interest in
each of these areas. Organizers say each event category rates first or
second out of the most important European conferences.
"We wanted to make the Biotechnology Crossroads a truly European
event, and we have achieved this aim," said Etienne Vervaecke,
Director of Eurasanté and Coordinator of the European Biotechnology
Crossroads. "The 2002 Crossroads will welcome three times more
exhibitors than last year, adding a whole new dimension to the event. It
also highlights the importance of biotechnology in France. All
indications are that attendee numbers will be very high, and these
figures show that Lille is seen throughout Europe as a hotbed of
biotechnology activity. We are delighted with what is happening, and are
concentrating on making sure October 15-16 will be highly
successful."
The European Biotechnology Crossroads 2003 will take place in Nantes,
September 25-26, 2003, and will be organized by Atlanpole.
Journalists can attend the conferences and
gain entry to the exhibition hall for free, by completing the online
