Argenta Discovery appoints New Chief Financial Officer
Harlow (UK), 7 October
2002....Argenta Discovery Ltd today announced that Mr Colin Knox has
been appointed as Chief Financial Officer.
A Chartered Accountant, Colin joins Argenta from his position as Director
of Finance, Europe, for a multi-billion dollar, US-listed software
company, where he was integral in the expansion of the company's European
operations. He also advised on US and UK accounting issues and was
seconded to projects within Canada and Brazil.
Previously, Colin held the position of business development and strategy
consultant with Greenly's Ltd (now Telos Partners), Windsor, UK, and Group
Accountant to Life Sciences plc (acquired by US multinational Thermo
Electron Corporation), London, UK.
Commenting on the appointment, Dr Anthony Baxter, Argenta's CEO, said:

increasing number of commercial partners outside the UK and will benefit
greatly from Colin's extensive knowledge of European and global finance
planning, and many years experience in financial management."
Colin is replacing Mr Bruce Powell who has acted as CFO in a part-time
position since the company's inception. Argenta is extremely grateful to
Bruce for his work in establishing the company's financial management
infrastructure and is pleased that Bruce has agreed to stay on the Board
as a non-executive Director.
