CMI/Compas Develops ByDoctor® Promotional Accessibility Analysis Report on NPs/PAs
CMI/Compas surveyed NPs and PAs about the nature of their medical practices and their information-seeking habits with the goal of uncovering the most effective means of targeting and engaging this group of prescribers and comparing it to that of physicians.
King of Prussia, PA (PRWEB) June 19, 2012
CMI/Compas has identified nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) as an under-accessed market of prescribers. While much has been published about how healthcare providers use available information channels, little research has been conducted on the media consumption habits of NPs and PAs.
Using its proprietary market research and predictive analytics tool-ByDoctor® OnDemand–CMI/Compas surveyed NPs and PAs about the nature of their medical practices and their information-seeking habits with the goal of uncovering the most effective means of targeting and engaging this group of prescribers and comparing it to that of physicians.
The data collected analyzed the preferences, consumption behavior, and channel accessibility of NPs and PAs, and has been compiled into a report of key findings which includes:
- NPs and PAs are well-represented in virtually all practice settings, including hospitals
- NPs and PAs write approximately 100 prescriptions per week
- NPs and PAs read their own professional journals more often than physician-specific journals
The full analysis report was shared exclusively with attendees of the annual Pharmaceutical Management Sciences Association (PMSA) conference May 20-23, 2012.
