Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) June 22, 2012

Brookhaven Retreat is delighted to announce Barbara Rector has joined their staff as the new reflexologist. She has been doing energy healing work for about 7 years and has been doing reflexology for a little over a year. Barbara said, “I am excited to be working with the women here and I feel that reflexology is something that can help a lot of their issues.” The main goal of reflexology is bringing the body back into balance and works well into Brookhaven Retreat’s program by helping the women with their sleep patterns, chronic pain, relaxation, and reducing stress; which is huge for people in this environment.

Reflexology is a non-invasive form of therapy that focuses on pressure points on the feet, legs, hands, face, or ears that relate to different areas of the body. Brookhaven Retreat offers their clients the ability to receive this form of therapy because of its holistic approach at restoring clients’ natural state of balance within themselves. Often times the women at Brookhaven Retreat will attend the session to help them to become more relaxed. Reflexologists do not claim to diagnose or heal, but rather to attend to the specific pressure points, which have become blocked, and to relieve the tension that has been built up within that area. It is a very calming type of therapy and afterwards most clients can feel a since of relaxation.

Brokohaven Retreat is excited to have Barbara Rector become a part of their team and they look forward to the work and care that she will be providing to their clients.

About Brookhaven Retreat
