Resistin, visfatin were associated with clinical severity of knee OA in women

In women with knee osteoarthritis and join effusion, resistin was associated with clinical severity while visfatin was inversely associated with severity, according to recently published findings.Investigators previously determined adipokines, such as resistin and visfatin, were related to knee osteoarthritis (OA), the researchers wrote. However, the exact role of these adipokines has not been determined.
