PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Oct. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Neuro Vitality Center (NVC), a leading provider of therapies for those recovering from stroke and other traumatic brain injuries, has announced a fundraising dinner and concert to be held at The Show at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage California on November 10th, 2016. Grammy Award-winning artist Sheena Easton is set to headline the evening that will also feature a special performance by the nationally recognized pop vocal group The Company Men.
According to Bev Greer, CEO of the NVC, "This will mark the 37th year of our Evening of Hope Gala, which raises funds to help us continue our important life-changing work." The NVC, originally known as The Stroke Recovery Center, changed its name last year when it expanded services and facilities to include those suffering from Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and other types of neurological disorders. It provides counseling, nutrition, as well as exercise, speech, and rehabilitation specific to each patient's challenges. Next month, the NVC will open a new state-of-the-art therapy center that will help further serve its clients.
This year's Gala features a James Bond/ Monte Carlo theme and elaborate pre-concert sponsor dinner on the theater floor. Jim Hollenbeck, Co-Chair of the event, says, "We're excited to have Sheena Easton and The Company Men performing this year to support such an important cause. Guests can expect a spectacular evening of glitz, glamour, and, of course, wonderful entertainment."
Sheena Easton has sold over 20 million records worldwide, received two Grammys, has a list of notable acting credits, and was the first – and still only – artist to have five records on five Billboard charts. The Company Men have received national acclaim and have appeared on numerous television shows including Hallmark's Home and Family, Good Day New York and PBS.
Sponsors of this year's Gala include KMIR/KPSE TV, Fey's Canyon Realty - Bob and Cheryl Fey, Desert Regional Medical Center, the Desert Sun Media Group, Alpha Media, Hollenbeck Group, Sensorium Events, Crater Lake Vodka, Lotus Elixirs, and the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa.
