DENVER, Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Evolab, the leader in advanced cannabis extraction and scientifically-informed product development, today announced its partnership with Realm of Caring, with the shared goals of strengthening research, education and client advocacy efforts both locally in Colorado and worldwide.
Realm of Caring Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides a better quality of life for those affected by life limiting diagnoses, including but not limited to, Cancer, MS, HIV/AIDS, Epilepsy and Parkinson's through the use of cannabinoid products. Clients have the opportunity to monitor their progress through an Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved observational research study. Through these studies, the foundation is able to educate the general public as to the benefits and effects of cannabinoid supplements. As part of the partnership, Realm of Caring's extensive client support resources will be available to all Evolab customers.
"When we first met the Realm of Caring team, we were blown away by their dedication and innovative approach to working directly with patients to help them understand the world of cannabis treatment options," said Domenic Suppa, COO, Evolab. "We saw an incredible synergy between their patient support and research efforts and our goals of helping advance the science of cannabis therapeutics, so we quickly joined forces. As the leader in pharmaceutical grade concentrates, we've seen the incredible effects our products can provide for medical users. We look forward to sharing our resources to educate and improve access to our trusted products for Realm of Caring's large and rapidly growing patient base, which is by far the largest in Colorado."
Over the past year, Evolab has expanded its research and development team, including the appointment of world-renowned cannabis chemist Noel Palmer, Ph.D. to the position of Chief Scientist. As part of this ongoing effort, Evolab's products are being integrated into Realm's patient protocols and ongoing research initiatives, including their collaborative study with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; the largest study of its kind in the United States with nearly one thousand participants.
"Cannabinoid therapeutics provide a chance for relief for patients who have struggled with other inadequate options," said Heather Jackson, co-founder and CEO, Realm of Caring. "Through ongoing research projects including our work with Johns Hopkins, we've become an educational resource for consumers, physicians, scientists, governments and the media. We're excited to team with Evolab to support families, medical professionals and academic research efforts worldwide."
