(Pensoft Publishers) The first record of flower visitation in a group of fruit flies from Himalayan India, as well as a total of four new species are described in the open access journal ZooKeys. Scientists have observed two of them on flowers of spiked ginger lily and angel's trumpet at Nainital and Darjeeling, India. Another revised species is noted to have a distinct sex comb -- a male-specific morphological structure that plays a role in courtship and mating.
