Interactive Health Names Bill Goldberg New CEO

08:20 EDT 8 Aug 2017 | PR Newswire

CHICAGO, Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Interactive Health, a national provider of employee wellness solutions, has appointed Bill Goldberg as its new CEO effective yesterday.

Goldberg will succeed Cathy Kenworthy, who remains with the company as chief marketing and analytics officer. She also continues as a board member.

Founded in 1992, Interactive Health has more than 3,000 clients and serves more than 1 million employees in all 50 states.

"This is a company that performs extremely well, and it has enormous opportunities for even more expansion," Goldberg said. "That's because our programs improve employees' health and, in doing so, help address the escalating health care costs that are so concerning to our clients."

FFL Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, acquired Interactive Health from CI Capital Partners in 2015. Kenworthy, 51, joined Interactive Health in 2013 as chief operating officer, advancing to CEO the following year.

"Bill's breadth of experience in the health care industry and his knack for capitalizing on the opportunity at hand are exactly what the company needs in this next stage of its expansion," said Mark Sarvary, an Interactive Health board member. "We are equally pleased to have Cathy continue as a key member of the leadership team and board, and want to take this opportunity to recognize her enormous contributions to the company."

Goldberg, 59, previously served for five years as CEO of MediMedia and related entities. He stepped down earlier this year after a subsidiary of Merck & Co. acquired a majority stake in the company.

"Our opportunity to change lives, to change health care is profound," Kenworthy said. "We've accomplished a lot and enjoyed much momentum. I'm now excited to turn my sights on harnessing our data to further underscore our client success and expand our capabilities."
