German Nano-Biotechnology for the Asian Market

07 July 2003, JPK Instruments AG and Advantage Scientific Inc. sign Marketing and Sales Agreement

Berlin/Taipeh (July 05, 2003) - A marketing and sales co-operation for the Asian market was recently agreed between Berlin-based JPK Instruments AG, a specialist for nano-biotechnological applications, and Advantage Scientific Inc., Taiwan. With the agreement JPK has reached another important milestone in the consequent extension of its distribution network. Following the successful market introduction of its NanoWizardTM AFM - an Atomic Force Microscope that has been specially adapted by JPK to areas of application like soft matter and the Life Science - the Company now enjoys promising perspectives on the lucrative Asian market. It is also envisaged to open a presence in Japan by the end of the year. Further steps will be to establish references in China and to enter the Korean market.

Up to now JPK's instruments that are applicable in nano-biotechnological research are distributed in Germany, the UK, France and the Benelux countries.

JPK receives support form a supervisory board made up of renowned managers, venture capitalists and Prof. Dr. Klaus Ploog, the highly distinguished Director of the Paul-Drude-Institute Berlin.
