Research Innovations publishes its new expanded range of CST products in a new
catalogue
DRI’s proprietary ChargeSwitch® Technology differs from other commercially available nucleic acid purification technologies in that it avoids the introduction of known PCR inhibitors, such as alcohols, concentrated chaotropic salts or organic solvents. As a consequence, CST® purified DNA has been demonstrated to provide a measurable improvement in enzyme-based downstream reaction performance, including longer sequencing read lengths. The rapid CST® based protocols minimise the use of centrifugation and can usually be performed in a single tube. The extension of the product range will enable more researchers to benefit from the advantages associated with this technology and allow them to transition from existing methodologies unsuited for the application-driven requirements of today’s scientists. Commenting
on the publication of the catalogue, Simon Douglas, CEO of DNA Research
Innovations said: The new catalogue includes nearly twice the number of kits previously available, with new applications including endotoxin reduced plasmid purification and RNA purification. Amongst the new kits included in the catalogue are the CST® MiniPrep Kit (Endotoxin Reduced), CST® Genomic DNA Purification Kit (Bacteria), CST® RNA Purification Kit (Cells) and the CST® RNA Purification Kit (Micro-Tissue).

Research Innovations Ltd (DRI)
is dedicated to the innovative development of novel, high performance nucleic
acid extraction technologies that meet the evolving and exacting needs of its
customers. The Company has two proprietary technologies for nucleic acid
purification, called ChargeSwitch®
Technology (CST®)
and GeneCatcher™ Technology
(GCT™). CST®
uses a novel switchable surface charge that allows reliable extraction of pure
DNA and RNA from a range of sample types. By avoiding the use of potential
contaminating reagents, such as ethanol, concentrated chaotropic salts and
organic solvents, it purifies highly pure DNA with a reduced risk of reaction
inhibition in sensitive downstream applications. DNA
