Eco-Safe Technical Services Ltd launches its Speci-Pak range of Diagnostic Specimen Packaging

Eco-Safe Technical Services Ltd, based in Dublin is pleased to announce the launch of its Speci-Pak range of Diagnostic Specimen packaging.  Speci-Pak has been designed to allow shippers of small volumes of Diagnostic Specimens to package them in compliance with Packaging Instruction P650 of the IATA and ADR.

Speci-Pak comprises of a leakproof plastic bag which serves as the secondary packaging.  This bag has been tested and is capable of passing the 95kPa pressure differential test as prescribed in P650.  Certification of this testing is available.  The kit also includes the Aqui-Pak 4-bay absorbent pouch.  Primary containers may be inserted into the individual bays of the absorbent which is made from super-absorbent materials and which is capable of absorbing up to 150ml of liquid.  The outer container consists of a rigid fibreboard material which provides adequate protection to the specimens and which is preprinted with the words Diagnostic Specimens.

Eco-Safe Technical Services has been very active in the provision of consultation to the Irish healthcare and research sectors on the shipment of biological goods over the past number of years.  Speci-Pak is provided as a low-cost kit for the shipment of Diagnostic Specimens.

Provided either as flat-pack or as fully assembled kits, Speci-Pak aims to be an economical and convenient method of packaging Diagnostic Specimens for transport by road or by air.
