ESA Analytical Chromatographic detection to Zeptomole (10 -21) levels
7th
OCTOBER 2002. Available from ESA Analytical Ltd. the ZETALIF Laser Induced
Fluorescence detector provides research scientists with the ability to
monitor HPLC and Capillary Electrophoresis eluants down to unprecedented
detection levels.
Offering sensitivity typically 100-1000 times that of traditional
fluorescence detection, ZETALIF opens the door to new and demanding
applications in pharmacology, neuroscience, molecular biology, toxicology
and environmental trace analysis. The use of highly monochromatic
laser sources in the ZETALIF provides the selectivity to detect trace
levels of compounds of interest even in complex matrices.
Modular in design the ZETALIF can be connected to virtually any HPLC,
micro-HPLC, Capillary LC, Capillary Electrophoresis or CEC system. A
simple, robust optical design, which excludes moving parts, ensures high
reliability. Contrary to conventional fluorescence detectors, the
unique flow cell design and the use of stable laser sources instead of
conventional monochromators in the ZETALIF means it rarely needs
recalibration.
ZETALIF detectors provide the ultimate in detection sensitivity and may
incorporate a broad selection of lasers operating from the deep UV through
to the infrared. With fourteen available operational
wavelengths ranging from 266nm to 785 nm the versatile ZETALIF
can work with both natively fluorescent and derivatised molecules.
Offering measurement over a linear dynamic range of 3-4 orders of
magnitude the ZETALIF may be easily operated by anyone with a basic
understanding of Capillary Electrophoresis or HPLC.
ZETALIF detectors are fully compliant with all safety rules and CE
requirements.
