Innate Pharma
strengthens international management team by appointing Director of Business
Development
Agustín de la Calle brings international
business development experience acquired in Germany and the USA
Marseilles, June 12, 2005 - Innate Pharma, developer of novel anti-tumoral
therapies, announces today the appointment of Agustín de la Calle to head
business development. Dr. de la Calle's will be primarily responsible for
initiating and maintaining partnerships with the pharma industry, while
increasing the company's international presence. The appointment comes as Innate
Pharma is building up a significant portfolio of drug candidates and industry
partnerships.
Agustín de la Calle, Ph.D., 41, comes to Innate Pharma after serving since 2002
as Director of business development at antibody-based drug discovery company,
Micromet AG in Germany. Previously he was with Eos Biotechnology, Inc., USA,
(now part of Protein Design Labs, Inc.), where he joined as a scientist in 2000.
Earlier in his career, Dr. de la Calle served as Manager of business development
at Exelixis, Inc., USA and as a consultant to several pharmaceutical and
biotechnology companies during his work for The Mendel Group. He received his
M.S. from the Free University of Berlin, Germany; his Ph.D. was awarded from the
Free University of Berlin after he carried out his research at Harvard Medical
School. He conducted his postdoctoral studies at M.I.T.
