Inpharmatica launches Annotation Express(TM)

Online knowledge base provides affordable, easy to use information for Protein Annotation

London, UK, 12th July 2005 - Inpharmatica Ltd announces today the launch of Annotation Express(TM), an affordable modular system that brings comprehensive, high quality protein annotation to biologists in an easy-to-use package.

Annotation Express builds on Inpharmatica's widely-respected know-how in protein annotation. Previously, scientists have had to devote time and effort to tedious tasks such as building cumbersome, difficult to maintain collections of data in-house or relying on scattered and non-integrated public resources to record research-related information. With Annotation Express, scientists can focus on using information and making discoveries rather than administration of data.

Four powerful Annotation Express modules are available: Domain Professor(TM) which contains pre-calculated detailed protein domain annotation based on worldwide sources; InGOt(TM) a state-of-the-art comprehensive Gene Ontology resource; BluChip(TM) for linking Affymetrix probes through to biological process and high level functional annotation; Bio-Clip(TM) offers summary annotations of the above modules for genome scale protein data sets. Inpharmatica plans further development of Annotation Express with the launch of additional modules in the second half of 2005.
