Korn/Ferry International announces the appointment of Jacques Police Senior Client Partner, Global Life Sciences Group

21 May 2004 Korn/Ferry International is delighted to announce that Jacques Police has joined its Global Life Sciences Group as a Senior Client Partner based in London. Jacques has over 14 years of executive search experience and rejoins from US search firm, DS Wolf Inc. / Coulter Partners. His appointment underpins Korn/Ferry International’s commitment to developing relationships with the global Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Life Sciences Venture Capital & Private Equity investor communities across Europe.

Jacques will be working closely with 'early' stage and 'mature' Biotechnology  ‘speciality’ Pharmaceuticals and Biopharmaceuticals businesses wishing to recruit R&D, Medical, Commercial, Operations and General Management leadership teams. He additionally will help build on the extensive global account management in pharmaceutical experience developed by the Korn/Ferry International Life Sciences team worldwide.

Background:

Jacques commenced his career in the mid-1980s as a graduate trainee with one of the UK’s long established commodity and futures trading houses gaining experience in a variety of functions including financing, shipping, foreign exchange and futures trading. In the early nineties he joined one of Europe’s fastest growing expert financial recruitment firms where he established an international Finance Director and Finance Specialist function driving the European expansion of global businesses in Banking, FMCG, Technology and Pharmaceuticals. He also participated in the opening of affiliate offices in Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris.

In 1995, Jacques was invited to join Korn/Ferry International integrating the global life sciences team based in London. Upon his arrival at Korn/Ferry International, Jacques spearheaded the hiring strategy of a major US medical devices player across seven European countries in R&D and commercial operations based from the company’s European HQ near Paris. He returned to the UK to develop relationships with global pharmaceutical companies, leading significant components of key account programmes gaining substantial functional knowledge in discovery & pre-clinical sciences, product development, regulatory, medical affairs, sales & marketing and business development & licensing. He also gained solid exposure to the biopharmaceuticals, diagnostics, ‘medtech’, drug delivery and animal health businesses.

In 2000, Jacques joined a US search firm with no Health and Science sector presence to establish a new global division based from London. Over the next four years he led operations in Europe and spent considerable time in New York, establishing the US arm of the business. During his tenure at DS Wolf Inc./Coulter Partners, Jacques recruited discovery and R&D leadership, Human Resources specialists, Finance and Commercial leadership globally.

Jacques rejoins Korn/Ferry International in 2004.

Jacques is fluent in three European languages. He is a French-German national and a graduate of the University of Strasbourg.
