Oxford offers bursaries for bioinformatics SMEs

OXFORD, UK — May 12th, 2003 — Oxford University is offering bursaries to small and medium sized bioscience businesses for attendance on a part-time MSc in  Bioinformatics from September. The programme, which was devised with industry participation and leads to a full degree of the University, is part funded by EPSRC and offers the financial support to SMEs in the sector likely to benefit from developing bioinformatics capability in their staff or retaining bioinformaticians. The bursaries, which are worth £8,500, are intended to support the emerging computational bioscience sector in the UK.
