PHARMA LICENSE EXCHANGE® pre-event information exchange, start date announced Montalier
International Ltd. announced today that the pre-event information exchange that
precedes the upcoming Pharma License Exchange® partnering forum will commence
on February 15. The
Pharma License Exchange partnering forum takes place March 10-11, 2004, at
Swissotel The Watergate in Washington DC. The
pre-event information exchange, during which the attendees review each other’s
profiles and objectives and select their meeting partners, commences 4 weeks in
advance of the conference. It is an important tool for the participants to
ensure that their meetings will be fruitful. “Pharma
License Exchange® offers an exceptional ratio of opportunities to time and
cost. Where else can pharma and
biotech executives meet up to 20 companies on-to-one and face-to-face in only 2
days?”, asks Mr. Vidar Bentzen, CEO of Montalier International Ltd., the
organizer of this partnering forum. “The
meeting helped to compress my time where it would have taken several weeks/month
to meet with these companies,” stated Mr. Michael T. Mallon, VP, Business
Development for North America, Phoqus Pharmaceuticals Limited, United Kingdom,
following the last event. EFFICIENT
AND EFFECTIVE Pharma
License Exchange® was developed by Montalier International Ltd. to provide an
efficient and effective partnering alternative for business development and
licensing executives in the pharma and biotech industries. The
forum gathers a select group of
pharma and biotech executives with genuine licensing mandates. Specific
admittance criteria ensures that the participants
are all there for one, common purpose, namely to explore the best business
opportunities and to initiate collaborations. “Since
one-to-one meetings have much greater impact than lecture-type presentations, we
have made it our specialty,” said Mr. Bentzen. “Our job is matchmaking, and
we take pride in organizing the most efficient and effective partnering forum in
North America.” REGISTER
NOW Register
now to be included in the pre-event information exchange and selection process
from the beginning. 75
companies will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. “The
number of attendees is limited for three main reasons”, said Mr. Bentzen.
“Firstly, our objective is to create a personable atmosphere that encourages
personal networking. Secondly, by limiting the number of attendees, we are able
to satisfy virtually all meeting requests. Thirdly, to schedule and arrange up
to 1,425 meetings during 2 days is a challenge that requires maximum attention
to details.” 3
DISTINCT SECTIONS The
participants have the opportunity to focus their efforts on 3
distinct sections, namely Innovations, Ethicals and/or OTC/Health related
opportunities. All
types of partnerships and strategic alliances are discussed, including
licensing, distribution, various joint ventures, as well as acquisitions. WHO
SHOULD ATTEND: Pharma
License Exchange® is designed for decision makers. The
titles of the participants range from CEOs to managers, with a majority using
the title Vice President or Director. Their commonality is responsibility for
business development, licensing, corporate development, etc. Pharma
License Exchange® is a North American event, but it embraces the pharma and
biotech industries as global enterprises. This is indicated by the geographical
spread of the participants, ie. 60%, 30%, and 10%, respectively, for North
America, Europe and the rest of the world, including Asia and Latin America. VENUE The
venue for the Washington, DC, forum is the famous The Watergate Hotel, which is
offering great ambiance in accordance with the high standards of Swissotel. The
hotel is located downtown and just a few steps from renowned attractions.
