Redasoft Launches First
Cloning Vector Search Engine for Life Scientists
Unique Search Engine to Help Drive Productivity Improvements in Drug Discovery Research.
Toronto, ON - September 10, 2002 - Redasoft today announced the launch of its Cloning Vector Search Engine (CVSE), the first of its kind in the industry. The search engine was designed and developed specifically to improve the efficiency of drug discovery research by serving as a central repository of data on cloning vectors. It will drive research productivity by assisting life scientists in quickly selecting the best vectors for their experiments. The CVSE can be accessed directly from within Redasoft's Visual Cloning software, building on its seamless integration with Internet resources. The CVSE is also freely available online on Redasoft's web site at

.
"The Cloning Vector Search Engine represents another industry first for Redasoft and will add tremendous value to our Visual Cloning software as well as being very useful to the life science community at large," said Danny Reda, Redasoft’s President and Chief Executive Officer. "Our customers have told us that this new engine will greatly enhance their productivity in designing experiments and carrying out their research. We are very excited to be the first company to develop and release such an important resource."
Redasoft's Cloning Vector Search Engine allows life science researchers to search for cloning vectors for their experiments according to specific criteria. Search parameters include keyword searches by description or features as well as options to search by topology, vector type, supplier, host strain, functions, parents, siblings, and offspring. The CVSE is a part of Redasoft ResearchNet, an Internet resource that provides up-to-date links to genetic databases, proteomics resources, and a library of experiment protocols.
