New Easy To Use, Microscopy Software Generates Precise 3-D Images in Seconds

8th Jun 2004. Cambridge, UK: Syncroscopy, the world leader in unique digital imaging solutions for microscopy applications, is pleased to introduce Auto-Montage Pro, its new software for automatically producing perfectly focused 3-D images quickly and easily.

Designed for professional microscopists, Auto-Montage Pro, is the next generation of the image reconstruction technology invented by Syncroscopy and is the easiest to use 3-D imaging software available. At the touch of a button, the software can capture a number of source images directly from a digital camera. It then combines the focused areas, instantly generating a fully focused ‘Montage image’ and Depth Map.

Auto-Montage Pro has a user-friendly main window with two workspaces, showing analysis options as icons on one side and the final image on the other. The workspaces allow users to analyse their image, while viewing the resulting Depth Map, Colour Relief Map, 3-D Anaglyph, Stereo Pair or Confidence Map. Additionally, microscopists can save time by setting Auto-Montage Pro to automatically calculate and capture the correct number of source images from their sample.

For image calibration, Auto-Montage Pro includes a moveable scale bar and graticule.  For rapid length, width, depth or volume analysis microscopists can also add an automated measurement option to Auto-Montage Pro. The software also features an automatic image alignment function to compensate for inherent changes in magnification and is particularly useful for scanning electron microscope users. All the images generated can be enhanced for publication using Auto-Montage Pro’s powerful image editing tools and can be easily exported to other software packages.

Martin Smith, Syncroscopy’s Divisional Manager stated: ”By adding over 70 new features to our Auto-Montage technology, we have built simple to use 3-D imaging software with exceptional capabilities. We are so confident Auto-Montage Pro will produce the best in-focus image of any 3-D sample that we are offering microscopists a chance to try a FREE demo version at www.auto-montage.com.”
