Executive Summary

A range of small and large companies is utilizing different strategies for anticancer biological drug based treatments. In total, BioSeeker Group has identified 150 industry related R&D projects comprising therapeutics based on biological drugs.

The immunomodulators is a large subgroup of therapeutics of the biological drug group. Cytokines are small proteins secreted primarily by cells of the immune system that promote the proliferation and/or differentiative functions of other cells and play a significant role in the regulation of the extent of the immune response. Examples of cytokines include interleukins (IL-2, IL-7, IL-12), interferons (IFN), hematopoietic colony stimulating factors (GM-CSF) and proinflammatory factors such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF). Such cytokines operate on lymphocytes by stimulating them to proliferate by this means boosting a host's immune response. Other immunostimulating molecules such as CD40L and detoxified LPS are also being investigated.

Decision-making requires a vast amount of structured information. Although paramount to establishing a representative description of a particular field, identifying and structuring information is a tedious task. When generating an information structure, it is essential to make it as complete as possible in order to analyse and draw correct conclusions from the field. For your convenience, BioSeeker Group has identified and structured more than 150 industry related immunomodulator anticancer R&D projects, compiled in the first edition of this database. This collection of data describes the R&D activities in this field as near completely as possible.

Compiling the information in a database file for convenient transfer of data to your preferred information system will save hundreds of working hours for you. Depending on the aim of your analysis, it will enable you to produce simple as well as advanced information analysis on the spot. Use the database to produce key tables and automated graphs in no more than a few minutes!
