Indium-Promoted Chemo- and Diastereoselective Allylation of α,β-Epoxy Ketones with Potassium Allyltrifluoroborate.

Summary of "Indium-Promoted Chemo- and Diastereoselective Allylation of α,β-Epoxy Ketones with Potassium Allyltrifluoroborate."

A practical method for the chemo- and diastereoselective allylation of α,β-epoxy ketones has been developed by using the convenient air and moisture stable reagent potassium allyltrifluoroborate. Indium metal was found to promote addition in stoichiometric or catalytic amounts, to afford α,β-epoxyhomoallylic tertiary alcohols in high yields and diastereoselectivities, without competing ring-scission of the epoxide.

Enantioselective One-Pot Synthesis of α,β-Epoxy Ketones via Aerobic Oxidation of Cyclopropanols.

An efficient, mild, and environmentally benign method was developed for the asymmetric synthesis of 2-oxyranyl ketones from easily available tertiary cyclopropanols. The one-pot protocol includes the ...

C-O Functionalization of α-Oxyboronates: A Deoxygenative gem-Diborylation and gem-Silylborylation of Aldehydes and Ketones.

A deoxygenative gem-diborylation and gem-silylborylation of aldehydes and ketones is described. The key for the success of this transformation is the base-promoted C-O bond borylation or silylation of...

Catalytic Enantioselective γ-Selective Additions of 2-Allylazaarenes to Activated Ketones.

Reported herein is the first example of 2-allylazaarenes in asymmetric catalysis. Highly γ-selective allylation was demonstrated for activated ketones, including isatins and trifluoromethyl ketones. ...

Highly Enantioselective Allylation of Ketones - An Efficient Approach to all Stereoisomers of Tertiary Homoallylic Alcohols.
