Richter syndrome (RS) is considered as the rare development of an aggressive lymphoid malignancy in a preexisting small lymphocytic lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The most common aggressive ly...
In cutaneous research, we aim to study the molecular signature of a diseased tissue. However, such a study is met with obstacles due to the inherent heterogeneous nature of tissues because multiple ce...
Assessment of the influence of peripheral blood mononuclear cell stimulation with Streptococcus pneumoniae polysaccharides on expression of selected Toll-like receptors, activation markers and Fas antigen in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Since 2012, both the 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) and the 23-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV23) have been recommended for pneumococcal infection prevention in patie...
Monoclonal B-cell lymphocytosis (MBL) does not have a World Health Organization (WHO) International Classification of Diseases for Oncology (ICD-O) morphology code as it is not currently recognized as...
Deletion 13q (13q-) is the most common cytogenetic aberration in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and is associated with the most favorable prognosis as the sole cytogenetic abnormality. However, it...
This observational study will assess the health related quality of life (HQRL) p rofiles of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. Using health assessment questionnaires, data will b...
The aim of the present study was to compare the outcomes of incisions made by Colorado® microdissection needle, electrosurgery tip and surgical blade during periodontal surgery.
The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if using a combination of fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab, with sargramostim (GM-CSF) can help to control previously untre...
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the ability of Rituximab maintenance therapy to prolong progression free survival in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, who responded to a ...
The purpose of this study is to establish the safety and optimal dose of orally administered PCI-32765 in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma.
A chronic leukemia characterized by abnormal B-lymphocytes and often generalized lymphadenopathy. In patients presenting predominately with blood and bone marrow involvement it is called chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL); in those predominately with enlarged lymph nodes it is called small lymphocytic lymphoma. These terms represent spectrums of the same disease.
Inflammatory diseases of the THYROID GLAND. Thyroiditis can be classified into acute (THYROIDITIS, SUPPURATIVE), subacute (granulomatous and lymphocytic), chronic fibrous (Riedel's), chronic lymphocytic (HASHIMOTO DISEASE), transient (POSTPARTUM THYROIDITIS), and other AUTOIMMUNE THYROIDITIS subtypes.
A technique utilizing a laser coupled to a catheter which is used in the dilatation of occluded blood vessels. This includes laser thermal angioplasty where the laser energy heats up a metal tip, and direct laser angioplasty where the laser energy directly ablates the occlusion. One form of the latter approach uses an EXCIMER LASER which creates microscopically precise cuts without thermal injury. When laser angioplasty is performed in combination with balloon angioplasty it is called laser-assisted balloon angioplasty (ANGIOPLASTY, BALLOON, LASER-ASSISTED).
A chronic leukemia characterized by a large number of circulating prolymphocytes. It can arise spontaneously or as a consequence of transformation of CHRONIC LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA.
Techniques using laser energy in combination with a balloon catheter to perform angioplasty. These procedures can take several forms including: 1, laser fiber delivering the energy while the inflated balloon centers the fiber and occludes the blood flow; 2, balloon angioplasty immediately following laser angioplasty; or 3, laser energy transmitted through angioplasty balloons that contain an internal fiber.
