Summary of "Hyperbranched Polymers with Controlled Degree of Branching from 0 to 100%"

A linear polymer, hyperbranched polymers with various degrees of branching, and 100% hyperbranched polymers were successfully synthesized by self-polycondensation of 2,2,2-trifluoro-1-[4-(4-phenoxyphenoxy)phenyl]ethanone by using different amounts of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid from the same AB(2) monomer.

Synthesis, nanoprecipitation and pH sensitivity of amphiphilic linear-dendritic hybrid polymers and hyperbranched-polydendrons containing tertiary amine functional dendrons.

The combination of linear polymers with dendritic chain-ends has led to numerous studies of linear-dendritic polymer hybrid materials. Interchain branching within the linear segment of these materials...

Comparison of Properties among Dendritic and Hyperbranched Poly(ether ether ketone)s and Linear Poly(ether ketone)s.

Poly(ether ether ketone) dendrimers and hyperbranched polymers were prepared from 3,5-dimethoxy-4'-(4-fluorobenzoyl)diphenyl ether and 3,5-dihydroxy-4'-(4-fluorobenzoyl)diphenyl ether through aromatic...

Linearly polymerized benzene arrays as intermediates, tracing pathways to carbon nanothreads.

How might fully saturated benzene polymers of composition [(CH)6]n form under high pressure? In the first approach to answering this question, we examine the step-wise increase in saturation of a one-...

Ductile electroactive biodegradable hyperbranched polylactide copolymers enhancing myoblast differentiation.

Myotube formation is crucial to restoring muscular functions, and biomaterials that enhance the myoblast differentiation into myotubes are highly desirable for muscular repair. Here, we report the syn...

pH- and redox-responsive self-assembly of amphiphilic hyperbranched poly(amido amine)s for controlled doxorubicin delivery.

Vinyl-terminated hyperbranched poly(amido amine)s is obtained by Michael addition polymerization of 4-(aminomethyl)piperidine (AMPD) with a double molar N,N-cystaminebis(acrylamide) (BAC). Then an amp...

Human Detection of Glucose Polymers

Although salivary contents play a major role in the early stage of food digestion process, their role in taste perception of glucose polymers is essentially unknown. It is hypothesized tha...

Incubator Temperature for Culturing Human Embryos

Incubator temperature is one of the most precious variables in IVF labs. When the IVF started, almost all incubator temperatures were set at 37 degrees which mimic in vivo conditions. Some...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

A family of RNA viruses, of the order MONONEGAVIRALES, containing filamentous virions. Although they resemble RHABDOVIRIDAE in possessing helical nucleocapsids, Filoviridae differ in the length and degree of branching in their virions. There are two genera: EBOLAVIRUS and MARBURGVIRUS.

The total area or space visible in a person's peripheral vision with the eye looking straightforward. The average extent is about 65 degree upward, 75 degree downward, 60 degree inward, and 95 degree outward. Visual fields can be measured by PERIMETRY.

Derivatives and polymers of styrene. They are used in the manufacturing of synthetic rubber, plastics, and resins. Some of the polymers form the skeletal structures for ion exchange resin beads.

Implanted fluid propulsion systems with self-contained power source for providing long-term controlled-rate delivery of drugs such as chemotherapeutic agents or analgesics. Delivery rate may be externally controlled or osmotically or peristatically controlled with the aid of transcutaneous monitoring.
