A facile electrochemical method was developed to synthesize CdS/ZnO nanotube arrays. Implemented as the photoanode in a photoelectrochemical cell, the CdS/ZnO nanotube arrays exhibited a photocurrent as high as 10.64 mA cm(-2).

We demonstrate a simple and effective strategy for vertically growing Au nanowires over ZnO nanowire arrays to construct a cross-linked hierarchical architecture under the synergistic effects of the e...
PbS nanoparticles (PbS NPs), an efficient sensitizer for TiO2 nanotube arrays (TiO2 NAs), were fabricated by the method of sonication-assisted successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR). T...
The CuO inverse opal photonic crystals (IOPCs) were synthesized by the sol-gel method and modified with CdS quantum dots by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR). CdS QDs modified CuO...
Different chemical vapour deposition (CVD) fabrication conditions lead to a wide range of variation in the microstructure and morphologies of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), which actually determine the comp...
Novel mesoporous TiO2 nanotube arrays (TiO2 NTAs) were synthesized by an anodization method combined with chemical etching in HF solution, and the electrochemical performance was studied. Glucose oxid...
The objective of this research is to improve the care of ocular disease and disorders, in particular the changes in the eye associated with diabetes, by providing clinicians with dramatica...
Cholesterol is the precursor of glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids and sex steroids. Both adrenal and non-adrenal (ovarian + testicular) all steroid hormones are primarily synthesized usi...
The present proposal is designed to examine the effect of carbohydrate and protein co-ingestion on muscle protein synthesis during endurance type exercise activities. We hypothesize that m...
The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of added protein+leucine or caffeine to 1.2 g/kg/h CHO on the rate of post-exercise muscle glycogen re-synthesis in healthy, recre...
The primary purpose of the study is to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of cholic acid in subjects with identified inborn errors of bile acid synthesis.
An electrochemical technique for measuring the current that flows in solution as a function of an applied voltage. The observed polarographic wave, resulting from the electrochemical response, depends on the way voltage is applied (linear sweep or differential pulse) and the type of electrode used. Usually a mercury drop electrode is used.
Membrane transporters that co-transport two or more dissimilar molecules in the opposite direction across a membrane. Usually the transport of one ion or molecule is against its electrochemical gradient and is "powered" by the movement of another ion or molecule with its electrochemical gradient.
Membrane transporters that co-transport two or more dissimilar molecules in the same direction across a membrane. Usually the transport of one ion or molecule is against its electrochemical gradient and is "powered" by the movement of another ion or molecule with its electrochemical gradient.
Pyrido-CARBAZOLES originally discovered in the bark of OCHROSIA ELLIPTICA. They inhibit DNA and RNA synthesis and have immunosuppressive properties.
An antineoplastic antimetabolite with immunosuppressant properties. It is an inhibitor of TETRAHYDROFOLATE DEHYDROGENASE and prevents the formation of tetrahydrofolate, necessary for synthesis of thymidylate, an essential component of DNA.
