Kumada coupling of aryl, heteroaryl, and vinyl chlorides catalyzed by amido pincer nickel complexes.
Summary of "Kumada coupling of aryl, heteroaryl, and vinyl chlorides catalyzed by amido pincer nickel complexes."
A series of amido pincer complexes of nickel were examined for their catalysis in the Kumada cross-coupling reaction. The P,N,O-pincer nickel complexes tested are active catalysts for the cross-coupling of aryl, heteroaryl, and vinyl chlorides with aryl Grignard reagents. The reactions can proceed at room temperature and tolerate functional groups in aryl chlorides with the aid of LiCl and ZnCl(2) additives.

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions
Oxidative Coupling
The reaction of two molecular entities via oxidation usually catalyzed by a transition metal compound and involving dioxygen as the oxidant.
Amido Black
A dye used to stain proteins in electrophoretic techniques. It is used interchangeably with its acid form.
Chlorides
Inorganic compounds derived from hydrochloric acid that contain the Cl- ion.
Aryldialkylphosphatase
An enzyme which catalyzes the hydrolysis of an aryl-dialkyl phosphate to form dialkyl phosphate and an aryl alcohol. It can hydrolyze a broad spectrum of organophosphate substrates and a number of aromatic carboxylic acid esters. It may also mediate an enzymatic protection of LOW DENSITY LIPOPROTEINS against oxidative modification and the consequent series of events leading to ATHEROMA formation. The enzyme was previously regarded to be identical with Arylesterase (EC 3.1.1.2).
Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Nuclear Translocator
Aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator is a basic HELIX-LOOP-HELIX MOTIF containing protein that forms a complex with DIOXIN RECEPTOR. The complex binds xenobiotic regulatory elements and activates transcription of a variety of genes including UDP GLUCURONOSYLTRANSFERASE. AhR nuclear translocator is also a subunit of HYPOXIA-INDUCIBLE FACTOR 1.
