Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions
Urologic Neoplasms
Tumors or cancer of the URINARY TRACT in either the male or the female.
Urologic Surgical Procedures
Surgery performed on the urinary tract or its parts in the male or female. For surgery of the male genitalia, UROLOGIC SURGICAL PROCEDURES, MALE is available.
Neoplasms By Site
A collective term for precoordinated organ/neoplasm headings locating neoplasms by organ, as BRAIN NEOPLASMS; DUODENAL NEOPLASMS; LIVER NEOPLASMS; etc.
Urologic Diseases
Pathological processes of the URINARY TRACT in both males and females.
Jaw Neoplasms
Cancers or tumors of the MAXILLA or MANDIBLE unspecified. For neoplasms of the maxilla, MAXILLARY NEOPLASMS is available and of the mandible, MANDIBULAR NEOPLASMS is available.
Clinical Trials
Neoadjuvant Zoledronic Acid in Patients With Resectable Pancreas Cancer
The overall purpose of this research is to evaluate the safety and side effects of zoledronic acid (also known as Zometa) in patients before they have surgery to remove the cancer.
Efficacy Study of Zoledronic Acid and Teriparatide Combination Therapy in Women With Osteoporosis
The purpose of this study is to assess the effects of zoledronic acid administered at the same time with teriparatide compared to zoledronic acid alone and teriparatide alone on bone mine...
Osteoporosis prevention is important in patients with osteopenia (low bone density). This study will test the safety and efficacy of zoledronic acid in patients diagnosed with osteopenia.
Long Term Efficacy and Safety of Zoledronic Acid Treatment in Patients With Bone Metastases
This study is designed to monitor the safety and efficacy of long-term treatment with zoledronic acid by assessing the incidence of, renal impairment, osteonecrosis of the jaw(ONJ), overal...
Zoledronic acid (Zometa) belongs to a class of drugs called bisphosphonates. Bisphosphonates are used in bone metastases to keep the cancerous lesion under control in the bone and to help...

Objective-To determine the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and safety of zoledronic acid in horses. Animals-8 healthy horses. Procedures-A single dose of zoledronic acid (0.057 mg/kg, IV) was admi...
Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis and urologic carcinomas: a possible paraneoplastic association.
Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis (MR) is a rare non-Langerhans histiocytosis that is characterized by cutaneous nodules and severe destructive arthritis. Although 25-30% of reported cases have been...

Zoledronic Acid in the Treatment of Early-Stage Breast Cancer: Is There a Final Verdict?
Breast cancer, which preferentially metastasizes to bone, is the most common malignancy among women worldwide and is a leading cause of death. Clinical data from large, phase 3 trials (ie, ABCSG-12, Z...
Molecular interactions between zoledronic acid and bone: an in vitro Raman microspectroscopic study.
The aim of this study was to investigate molecular interactions between a bisphosphonate (BP), zoledronic acid, and bone tissue by the use of Raman microspectroscopy. In this way, samples of hydroxyap...
