Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions
Metaproterenol
A beta-2 adrenergic agonist used in the treatment of ASTHMA and BRONCHIAL SPASM.
Betahistine
A histamine analog and H1 receptor agonist that serves as a vasodilator. It is used in MENIERE DISEASE and in vascular headaches but may exacerbate bronchial asthma and peptic ulcers.
Aminophylline
A drug combination that contains THEOPHYLLINE and ethylenediamine. It is more soluble in water than theophylline but has similar pharmacologic actions. It's most common use is in bronchial asthma, but it has been investigated for several other applications.
Bronchial Arteries
Left bronchial arteries arise from the thoracic aorta, the right from the first aortic intercostal or the upper left bronchial artery; they supply the bronchi and the lower trachea.
Sodium, Dietary
Sodium or sodium compounds used in foods or as a food. The most frequently used compounds are sodium chloride or sodium glutamate.

A Study of MK0476 Compared With Placebo in Pediatric Patients With Chronic Asthma
A study to determine the effects of MK0476 on pediatric patient with chronic asthma compared with placebo.
Montelukast Asthmatic Smoker Study
This is a multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of MK0476 versus placebo in patients with chronic asthma who actively smoke cigarettes.
Montelukast Post-Marketing Comparative Study With Ketotifen
The clinical study evaluates the safety of montelukast and compares montelukast to ketotifen, used as a control drug, in terms of improvement in morning peak expiratory flow (am pef) over...
