Transvaginal hybrid procedures are of interest as an available NOTES-Procedure for the clinical routine. Few authors have demonstrated the feasibility and safety of such procedures (e.g. cholecystectomy) in selected patient collectives. In 2008 Lacy at al. published the experience with a transvaginal sigmoidectomy as a first in human report. The aim of this prospective data collection is to evaluate the feasibility and safety of the transvaginal hybrid anterior resection in the clinical routine.
Therefore all patients giving the informed consent to the transvaginal hybrid anterior resection will be included and assessed concerning feasibility to perform the transvaginal approach and complete the operation transvaginally.

Transvaginal hybrid procedures are of interest as an available NOTES procedure for the clinical routine. The gynaecologists` experiences and the available studies report on low morbidity r...
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy (by assessing the clinical success of treatment) of intravenous antibiotic therapy with ertapenem in patients with acute attacks of sig...
The purpose of this study is to determine whether laparoscopic lavage changes the rate of severe complications in patients with acute perforated diverticulitis who traditionally are treate...
We propose a phase I study of laparoscopic assisted, transvaginal peritoneoscopy by using flexible endoscopy in female patients with pelvic pain. It is designed as a hybrid procedure with ...
Perforated diverticulitis with purulent peritonitis has traditionally been treated with open colon resection and stoma formation with risk for reoperations, morbidity, and mortality. Laparoscopic lava...
For laparoscopic low anterior resection of the rectum, a small additional incision is needed to extract the specimen. We describe an adjustment technique, which inserted the anvil and extracted the sp...
Case series suggest that laparoscopic peritoneal lavage might be a promising alternative to sigmoidectomy in patients with perforated diverticulitis. We aimed to assess the superiority of laparoscopic...
To analyze the short- and long-term outcomes of laparoscopic sigmoid colectomy for the elective treatment of diverticular disease.
Although right-sided diverticulitis is perceived to have a higher incidence among Asians and infrequently requires surgical management in comparison with sigmoid diverticulitis, it is unknown whether ...
Tumors or cancer of the SIGMOID COLON.
Screening techniques first developed in yeast to identify genes encoding interacting proteins. Variations are used to evaluate interplay between proteins and other molecules. Two-hybrid techniques refer to analysis for protein-protein interactions, one-hybrid for DNA-protein interactions, three-hybrid interactions for RNA-protein interactions or ligand-based interactions. Reverse n-hybrid techniques refer to analysis for mutations or other small molecules that dissociate known interactions.
Pathological processes in the SIGMOID COLON region of the large intestine (INTESTINE, LARGE).
Inflammation of a DIVERTICULUM or diverticula.
Inflammation of the COLONIC DIVERTICULA, generally with abscess formation and subsequent perforation.
