Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions
Glaucoma in which the angle of the anterior chamber is open and the trabecular meshwork does not encroach on the base of the iris.
Congenital open-angle glaucoma that results from dysgenesis of the angle structures accompanied by increased intraocular pressure and enlargement of the eye. Treatment is both medical and surgical.
Corneal Endothelial Cell Loss
Loss of CORNEAL ENDOTHELIUM usually following intraocular surgery (e.g., cataract surgery) or due to FUCHS' ENDOTHELIAL DYSTROPHY; ANGLE-CLOSURE GLAUCOMA; IRITIS; or aging.
Scattering, Small Angle
Scattering of a beam of electromagnetic or acoustic RADIATION, or particles, at small angles by particles or cavities whose dimensions are many times as large as the wavelength of the radiation or the de Broglie wavelength of the scattered particles. Also know as low angle scattering. (McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms, 6th ed) Small angle scattering (SAS) techniques, small angle neutron (SANS), X-ray (SAXS), and light (SALS, or just LS) scattering, are used to characterize objects on a nanoscale.
A form of glaucoma in which the intraocular pressure increases because the angle of the anterior chamber is blocked and the aqueous humor cannot drain from the anterior chamber.
To evaluate the effectiveness of DuoTrav Eye Drops in gaining or maintaining control of target Intraocular Pressures (tIOP) in patients diagnosed with, and being treated for, open-angle gl...
Hypothesis: - H1: Efficacy of Duotrav will be superior to Xalacom at 24 hours post dosing when both medications are given in the morning - H2: A significant proportion...
The purpose of this study is to assess patient compliance with DuoTrav versus concomitant administration of Timolol 0.5% plus TRAVATAN in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypert...
Assess safety and efficacy of transitioning uncontrolled glaucoma patients to DuoTrav from other mono- or adjunctive therapies
The purpose of the study is to determine whether a glaucoma therapy is safe and effective in treating patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension
PURPOSE: Limb length changes were evaluated after closed- and open-wedge high tibial osteotomies (HTOs) using computer-assisted surgery. M...
Abstract Glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness worldwide, is currently defined as a disturbance of the structural or functional integrity of the optic nerve that causes characteristic atrophic change...
Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate diagnostic parameters and analysis of their advantages and limitations in early diagnostics of primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Cup/disc ratio (C/D...
BACKGOUND: The purpose of this study was to investigate and measure light-dark changes in iris thickness (IT) and anterior chamber angle width in eyes with occludable angles and open angles by using a...
PURPOSE: To study the characteristics of patients with advanced open-angle glaucoma. METHODS: A hospital-based retrospective study was performed. Advanced glaucoma was defined as visual acuity of 0.3...
