Feasibility Evaluation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Positron Emission Tomography for Bladder Cancer Diagnosis and Staging
Summary
The purpose of this study is to to find out if the MRI and PET scans can truly stage patients with bladder cancer. Both scans use newer ways to find out if your disease has grown beyond the bladder. The radioactive tracer used for the PET scan is called C-11 Acetate. We want to see if PET scan will be able to take a picture of the inside of your body that is better than other scans such as the CT scan and MRI. Therefore, the findings of the PET scan will be compared with other imaging studies as well as the surgical findings.

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions
Urinary Bladder Neoplasms
Tumors or cancer of the URINARY BLADDER.
Cystocele
A HERNIA-like condition in which the weakened pelvic muscles cause the URINARY BLADDER to drop from its normal position. Fallen urinary bladder is more common in females with the bladder dropping into the VAGINA and less common in males with the bladder dropping into the SCROTUM.
Microscopy, Scanning Probe
Scanning microscopy in which a very sharp probe is employed in close proximity to a surface, exploiting a particular surface-related property. When this property is local topography, the method is atomic force microscopy (MICROSCOPY, ATOMIC FORCE), and when it is local conductivity, the method is scanning tunneling microscopy (MICROSCOPY, SCANNING TUNNELING).
Urinary Incontinence, Stress
Involuntary discharge of URINE as a result of physical activities that increase abdominal pressure on the URINARY BLADDER without detrusor contraction or overdistended bladder. The subtypes are classified by the degree of leakage, descent and opening of the bladder neck and URETHRA without bladder contraction, and sphincter deficiency.
Microscopy, Electron, Scanning Transmission
A type of TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY in which the object is examined directly by an extremely narrow electron beam scanning the specimen point-by-point and using the reactions of the electrons that are transmitted through the specimen to create the image. It should not be confused with SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY.

Evaluation Study of Ultrasound Bladder Scanner for Monitoring Bladder Function
The purpose of this study is to evaluate a novel ultrasound bladder scanning device designed particularly for children in children with bladder dysfunction.
3 Tesla MRI in Patients With Bladder Cancer

Study of CP-675,206 in Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG)-Resistant Bladder Cancer
The purpose of this study is to find out the highest safe dose of the investigational drug CP-675,206 when given in combination with BCG therapy to patients who have experienced recurrent...
Quality of Life in Patients With Bladder Cancer
The purpose of this study is to learn about the quality of life of people living with bladder cancer. We are interested in learning about how the treatments for bladder cancer affect peopl...
Markers of Response to Intravesical Bladder Cancer Therapy
The goal of this laboratory research study is to see if researchers can predict whose cancer will stay in remission and whose will return in patients receiving treatment for bladder cancer

Intrauterine Device-Associated Actinomycosis of the Ovary and Urinary Bladder: A Case Report.
Actinomycosis of the urinary bladder is rare, mostly subsequent to abdomino-pelvic infection, and usually affects women with long-term use of an intrauterine device. We describe a case of vesical acti...
