A total of 16 patients with severe and rigid idiopathic scoliosis treated by anterior and posterior vertebral column resection (APVCR) were retrospectively reviewed after a minimum follow-up of 2 years. The indication for APVCR was scoliosis more than 90° with flexibility less than 20%. The radiographic parameters were evaluated, and clinical records were reviewed.
