Aethlon Medical, Inc Company Profile

08:05 EDT 22nd October 2017 | BioPortfolio

Aethlon Medical is a publicly traded company based in San Diego, California. Since June of 2001, the sole focus of the company has been the development of a broad spectrum viral and toxin treatment device known as Hemopurifier™. During this period, Aethlon researchers have evolved the Hemopurifier from a conceptual device to a product now being manufactured and tested for safety in human clinical studies.
In 2006, Aethlon will continue with regulatory initiatives to demonstrate further safety and potential efficacy of the Hemopurifier. Indications targeted for commercialization include drug and vaccine resistant bioweapons, naturally evolving pandemic threats, and chronic infectious disease conditions such as Hepatitis-C (HCV) and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The Hemopurifier can be deployed as a treatment in both clinical and mobile/field environments. It is incorporated into the established global network of dialysis machines in clinical applications, and as a wearable device when attached to a portable battery driven pump for use in mobile/field applications. Aethlon is also researching the treatment of conditions beyond infectious disease by modifying the core principals underlying the Hemopurifier to remove other deleterious agents from the circulation. Guidance for all research performed at Aethlon Medical is provided by globally recognized science advisors, representing the infectious disease, biowarfare, and dialysis industry.
