Applied Gene Technologies, a San Diego, California company plans to develop, manufacture and market biopharmaceutical products based on patented Tessera Array Technology™ (TAT). Initial focus of the company is to develop diagnostic products for infectious diseases and cancer. We currently use our development efforts on DNA diagnostic products capable of detecting infectious agents in less than one hour.
Tessera Array Technology™ is a broad based platform technology and has use in high throughput drug discovery and drug screening applications. In addition, our technologies can be formatted to fit in point-of-care (POC), in the field or lab on a chip environment.

We also license our technologies to companies for the development of products that are outside of our core business areas such as veterinary and agricultural applications. Such strategic collaborations provide us with the opportunity to receive royalties upon successful commercialization of products based on TAT. Proceeds from licensing agreements will help fund development of second generation product candidates.
