Jill is principal of Health Risk Advantage. With more than 12 years experience in healthcare risk management consulting, her background includes directing quality and utilization management programs, and directing health information manage-ment departments. She has a bachelor's degree in medical records administration from Ferris State University, a master's in health administration from Central Michigan University, and a law degree from Loyola University of Chicago. Jill chairs the Legislative Committee of the American Health Information Management Association, and the Confidentiality Toolkit Work Group of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management.
Jill serves on the editorial review board of the Journal of AHIMA, and was founding editor of In Confidence, AHIMA's newsletter on the confidentiality of healthcare information. She recently joint ventured with AHIMA to publish a multimedia CD-ROM on risk issues in clinical documentation -- including computer-based training programs on protecting patient confidentiality.
She has just published a book about healthcare confidentiality for American Hospital Publishing, Inc.
