Royal Brinkman was established in 1885 and has been active in the horticultural sector ever since. In the early days, Mr. C. Brinkman began in 's-Gravenzande (the Netherlands) selling, amongst other things, so-called 'sparrie twine' for the bundling of asparagus and fastening of crates and tarpaulins for the Westland barges. Presently, more than one century later, Brinkman is one of the largest, most established suppliers to the horticultural industry in the world.

Brinkman has branches in the most important horticultural regions both in the Netherlands and abroad. An enthusiastic team of more than 400 employees worldwide and a range of more than 30,000 quality products, guarantee a high-quality end-product for our clients.

The dynamic horticultural sector is experiencing the need for scaling up, globalisation and professionalism. Brinkman is taking advantage of this situation through a more segmented approach of the core activities in the Netherlands.

Tracking of Indels by DEcomposition is a Simple and Effective Method to Assess Efficiency of Guide RNAs in Zebrafish.

A bottleneck in CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing is variable efficiencies of in silico-designed gRNAs. We evaluated the sensitivity of the TIDE method (Tracking of Indels by DEcomposition) introduced by Bri...

Entropy Generation Minimization Analysis of Active Magnetic Regenerators.

A performance assessment of active magnetocaloric regenerators using entropy generation minimization is presented. The model consists of the Brinkman-Forchheimer equation to describe the fluid flow an...

Effects of roughness and permeability on solute transfer at the sediment water interface.

Understanding the mechanisms of solute transfer across the sediment-water interface plays a crucial role in water quality prediction and management. In this study, different arranged particles are use...

Numerical simulation of filtration performance in submerged membrane bioreactors: effect of particle packed structure.

It is widely known that the accumulation of solid matter forming a cake layer on the membrane surface is one of the major limitations of the filtration performance in submerged membrane bioreactors (S...

A pilot study on transient ischemic stroke induced with endothelin-1 in the rhesus monkeys.

Endothelin-1 (ET-1), a vasoconstrictor, has recently been used to induce focal ischemia in rodents and marmoset monkeys. The rhesus monkey, however, has numerous advantages to the rodent and marmoset ...
