Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics
The Center for Genomics and Bioinformatics (CGB) was launched in 1997 as a new academic department at the Karolinska Institute. Since then, the department has been growing rapidly and now hosts over 100 researchers in the fields of functional, clinical and structural genomics, as well as genomics technologies and bioinformatics.

Generally stated, the CGB is committed to the generation and management of genetic information by approaches aiming at elucidating the connection between genes, protein and function, thereby deepening the understanding of human diseases.
