For over 50 years, Cincinnati Eye Institute (CEI) has been committed to the vision of compassionately providing the highest level of medical and surgical eye care to enhance the quality of our patients lives. Today, CEI is the largest ophthalmology practice in the United States with over 45 eye doctors, many of whom are recognized among the leading subspecialists in their field, practicing in 20 locations across the tri-state area. Over the years, CEI has earned the reputation as one of the world's premier ophthalmic treatment, research and education centers.
Following World War II, CEI founder, Dr. Morris Osher, opened the doors of his general ophthalmology practice in Cincinnati. Dr. Richard Kerstine soon joined Dr. Osher to partner in his growing practice. Their unwavering devotion to patient care merited the practice a reputation for excellence in the treatment of eye disease. Dr. Osher's son Robert, following his father's footsteps, joined the practice in 1980
