Columbia Laboratories, Inc. is an international pharmaceutical company whose mission is to provide new and better ways to meet the special health needs of people around the world. To achieve this objective, Columbia is developing and has commercialized innovative prescription and over-the-counter products that address the unique health care needs of women, including products used in infertility, hormonal deficiencies, vaginal odor and contraception. Columbia has other products in development.

Columbia delivers these products primarily through its patented, proprietary Bioadhesive Delivery System (BDS), that uses bioadhesion to administer medication to patients in a targeted fashion over 12 to 72 hours. This technology can deliver hormones and other difficult-to-deliver compounds. This innovative technology differentiates Columbia from its competitors and provides a platform for numerous additional applications in the future.
